Gaynell Krambeal's history of Eagle Point, Oregon reads like a genealogical register with lineage, photographs and kindly gossip about the families who have lived in the region. As a preface, Anna Carlson Zander offers her reflections and recollections including memories of Mayor Bob Kimmel, Scotty Boyer, John Ragsdale, Brown's Store, the Telephone Company, Medco trains and more.
Krambeal dedicated her work to Verna R. Matthews, whom she greatly admired and whose friendship was dear to her. Verna's daughter, Velma May Matthews was one of Krambeal's closest friends before Krambeal's death in 2016. Together Gaynell and Velma worked to build the Eagle Point Museum and cultivated heritage appreciation and the preservation in their town.
